Your Apple Watch needs juice to keep up with your busy day, but figuring out how to charge it and check the battery can be confusing if you’re new to the device. It’s actually pretty straightforward once you know what to do.
How to Charge Your Apple Watch
To charge your Apple Watch, you’ll need two things:
- A charging cable (this usually comes in the Apple Watch box)
- A USB-C charging adapter (or plug it into a USB-C port on your laptop or power bank)
Here’s what to do:
- Connect the Cable
Take the charging cable from your Apple Watch box and plug it into your charging adapter. - Plug It In
Now, plug the adapter into a power outlet. You’ll see the round magnetic end of the cable is ready to go. - Place Your Watch on the Charger
Flip your Apple Watch so the back side (the part that touches your wrist) is facing down.
Place it onto the round magnetic charger. It will click into place magnetically, and you’ll see a green lightning bolt on the screen, which means it’s charging.
And that’s it! Your Apple Watch will start charging right away.
How to Check Battery Percentage on Apple Watch
Want to see how much battery you’ve got left? It only takes a second.
- Press the Side Button
That’s the long button just below the circular crown on the side of your watch. - Open the Control Center
Once you press the button, the Control Center will pop up. - Check the Battery Percentage
You’ll see your battery percentage displayed clearly.
That’s all.
Charging and checking your Apple Watch battery doesn’t take long and can help you avoid surprises during the day.
