Switching from Android to iPhone and need to connect to Wi-Fi fast?
No need to type the password manually. Android makes it super simple to share your Wi-Fi using a QR code. In just a few taps, your iPhone can join the same network without any hassle.
Follow these quick steps and get connected instantly.
Step-by-Step: Share Wi-Fi From Android to iPhone
- Open Settings on your Android
Tap the Settings app from your home screen or app drawer. - Go to Connections
Scroll and tap on Connections. This is where your network options live. - Tap on Wi-Fi
Inside the Connections menu, tap on Wi-Fi to see the network you’re currently connected to. - Select the Connected Network
Tap on the name of the connected Wi-Fi. You’ll see a gear or Settings icon next to it, tap that. - Show QR Code
Inside the Wi-Fi settings, tap the QR code icon. This will display a scannable code containing your Wi-Fi details. - Scan with iPhone Camera
On the iPhone, open the Camera app and point it at the QR code. A pop-up will appear to join the network. - Tap Join
Just tap Join on the iPhone screen, and you’re in.
Quick Tip: If the QR code doesn’t show up right away, make sure your Android OS is up to date. Most recent Android versions support QR code sharing by default.
And that’s it!
Either method works great, depending on whether you prefer typing in the password or going completely hands-free with the QR code.
